なんと9年ぶりのアルバム。こんだけ長いブランクがありながら根強い支持を得ているのはものすごいカリスマ性ゆえでしょうか。僕は残念ながら全盛期の岡村さんは知らなくて前作「禁じられた生きがい」が初聴きでした。なのでコアなファンの方々からの評価はどうなのかわかりませんが、本作は単純にいいと思う。ぶっといビートがお腹に響く過去最高のファンクネス。この人はてらいなくまっすぐに純愛をうたう。それも暑苦しくヘロモン全開で。普通に聞いたら気恥ずかしいような事をこれだけ堂々とねっちりと歌われると、かっこいいんじゃないかと思ってしまう。いや、かっこいい。こういう姿勢は好きだ。稀代のカリスマであるのも納得。
