遅くなりましたが第１号をお届けします。
今回のオススメはとにかくsighboat。絵本の翻訳などをしている内田也哉子
のソロデビュー盤です。メンバーに渡邊琢磨、鈴木正人という強力タッグ。

CALMがまたまた別名義にて新作を発表。
--今回の作品は4曲入りながら全40分の長さで、冒頭の２曲は全20分で
１つの構成を成しており、マニュエル・ゴッチングのミニマル大作“E2-E4”

□ sighboat / sighboat（05年）
----------------------------------------------
内田也哉子、渡邊琢磨（COMBO PIANO）、鈴木正人（リトル・
クリーチャーズ）によるプロジェクト、サイボートのデビュー盤。
コンボ・ピアノに並々ならぬ才能を感じている僕の期待に、これは
見事に応えてくれた作品です。もともと内田也哉子のソロとして
スタートしたというこのプロジェクトは３人が有機的に絡み合う、
ジャズ〜ポストロックを通過した大人のアーバン・ポップ。
内田也哉子のうたは思いのほか穏やかでやわらかく、全体的に
音数も少なめで体温低めの風通しの良いテイスト。すなわち非常に
聴きやすいものですが、この音の鳴り方は、抜群のセンスと技術に
裏打ちされたもの。それが嫌味無くさらりと鳴っているのです。
適度にアーティスティックであり、適度にポップであり、うた
ごころがあり。まさに今聴きたいタイプの音楽なのでした。
今年のベスト10入り決定。ゲストとしてASA-CHANG、外山明、
青柳拓次が参加、ブライアン・イーノのカバー曲もあり。

□ JAFROSAX / JAFROSAX（04年）
----------------------------------------------
ジャズ／フュージョン・ユニットDIMENSIONのサックス奏者、
勝田一樹によるソロプロジェクト。ゲストボーカルにYukimi
NaganoやLISA、NOKKOらを、プロデューサーに福富幸宏、
野崎良太らを迎え制作された今作はまさに「クラブジャズ」な
アルバム。モンドグロッソやジャズトロニックのあたりが好き
なら間違いないでしょう。ジャケットもジャミロクワイみたい
だしね。ジャズ畑の人なのにあんまりそれを感じさせないのが
ちょっと物足りない気もするけど、ポップで聴きやすいモノを
つくりたかったという意図は見えます。なんとUR「Hi-Tech
Jazz」のカバーまで有り。

こちら山形は今週末あたりに桜が咲きそうです。
桜を見ながら聴くならマイス・パレードが合いそう。
